Instructions for AUTO-F
NOTE:
This is for your private use and should not be shared with anyone, as they too will be able to add to or edit it..
Your web host MUST be CGI enabled.
..NEVER..move this script unzipped.
AUTO-FKEY

Upload the zip file to your webspace;
into the directory where it will reside;
and unzip it.
NOTE: Always keep the original file of any script sent to you;
You'll be glad you did one day.
Inside is the F-Key and a file named db....
You do not have to do
anything with the db file...
EVER !
Click on the icon on the LEFT side
of your file to enter the F-Key.
Save it to your favorites.
Put it on one of your
keyboard F-keys.
Call up the AUTO-F with your
keyboard F-key.
Scroll to the bottom and click on
Change Settings:
You will see boxes that say
Button 1, Button2, etc.
Delete those notations and
fill in your own catagory
i.e. javascripts; lines; midi; etc.
A catagory called graphics will get
overloaded soon, so be specific.
There are other settings to choose
as you go down the page.
WARNING
Do Not Use The Clock
After 2.6.1 Upgrade;
It will kill the script.
At the bottom of the page
click on "Save Settings"
Go back to the AUTO-F
Immediately under the main buttons
to the left you will see
"url:" and "name:" which you only use
to add one url at a time
Click on the Choose Category button,
paste in the url,
then type in the name and press
"Add New Link," and it's done.
To the right you have two other buttons
which are used to edit links,
Click on "Choose Category"
to select on the one that you will be editing,
and then click on "Edit Existing Links."
The editing is self explanatory.
To add multiple links:
Save URL's in your GOTO...Tute Here....
Scroll down to the very bottom
of the AUTO-F where it says
"Add Links" and click on it.
The next page will have 5 blanks
to put in your urls and names,
and if you scroll beneath that,
you will see a testbed into which
you will paste all the urls you've copied,
then copy them one at a time
using Cmd+X to delete and copy
at the same time.
Then be sure to press the Save button
so these urls are saved until
you are done with this set.
After you have put in the first five urls,
then scroll beneath that to "Categories",
choose the category
where you want the urls,
then press "Submit."
A page will come up showing
the 5 urls you just saved.
Scroll down and click on "Add Links"
and you'll be back where the empty blanks and testbed are.
Then just follow the same procedure to add more multiple links.
Choosing the catagory and Submit each time.
Search::
This searches just the saver.
Type in the first three letters to search.
It IS case sensitive.
WARNING:
Editing of this script can cause
total loss of data!
And functionality!
