RE: I Need Help With A Slideshow
That still is not showing. Looking at the codes again, the php code you sent ends before the td that I am talking about. It is the td that holds the img src in it.

Have been reading this thread with great interest as tables have been on of my interests. Through experience I have found that debugging tables is very difficult. Especially when they are complicated and nested. My solution, which I've found very helpful, is to ALWAYS put a border around the tables when writing and place a number or letter comment in each cell. You can always then just set the border to zero when finished and remove the comment.

Your main problem is your link colors which change to default purple when clicked. This is hard to see on a black background. Change your body tag to this
<body bgcolor="#000000" text="eee687" link="eee687" alink="eee687" vlink="eee687">
which will clear up the problem

<td align="center" bgcolor="$image_row_color">
          <a href="$path?directory=$directory&currentPic=$next">
          <img src="$directory/$item[0]" alt="image" border="1"
          style="border-color: $img_border_color"></a></td>

     <td bgcolor="$image_row_color" align="center" valign="center"
                width="20%">$blank<br>$show_name</td>

YES!!! that is the td I am talking about. I hope that works.

If you are ever afraid of messing up codes, just make a copy of the file and fool with that. If it messes up, you can just delete it. If it works, you will have more confidence in changing codes.

Yes that is excellent advice. That is exactly how I found the td without a width in the first place.

I worked on it and decided to try the corrections on another slideshow , and so far it seems to be working out alright. I thank both of you for helping me out with this problem.
