I never thought of microfilm being a precursor for the world wide web...but I suppose in a way, it stored information that could be retrieved and copied. It also appears as if, not only WebTV users feel a loss of tools, energy and motivation, but so does everyone else who jumped on the servers with information to share. Now there are so many packages to download, it hardly seems worthwhile.
