Thew Rhyme of Waist Expansion - tonebytone - 02-23-2020 12:44 PM http://www.tonebytone.com/fstory/waist.php LOL. One time I got mad at myself and made up this little poem of chastisement, printed, and taped it to my fridge. Did it help? Not much, lol. I'm still struggling to remove that "pillow" of extra fat I "wear" slung from my hips. SIGH Lordy, do I love chocolate! RE: Thew Rhyme of Waist Expansion - Linda - 02-24-2020 12:06 AM LOL, that sure rhymes...and you make it sound like it was so worth it. I haven't tried poetry of any kind for years. I remember when I was a teen. I had discovered the word "gallant." I thought it meant beautiful. So I composed 16 stanzas of 4 lines each of my "epic" ballad. In it I referred to my heroine as "gallant" when I meant she was beautiful. Aren't all heroines beautiful? LOL I showed it to Mom, who immediately laughed AT it. She told me what gallant really meant. When Mom laughed At me, it used to hurt. So that scotched my poetry attempts for a good long while. If there are any parents, grandparents, etc, reading this, remember to laugh WITH your kids, not AT them. |
