Very interesting, indeed. It amazes me that many places in Europe have changed little since the war. The page also reminded me of a calendar in 1973 that was hanging in my administrative assistant's office. It was a recent scene of a small town in Germany with a church as the center piece. A co-worker noticed it and stated he had taken a photo of the same church during the war. The next day he brought in a B/W photo that he took. The photos had been taken about 30 years apart from exactly the same spot.

That must have been something. I just can't imagine living in a country during a war.
