Lots of practical tips there. Two comments:
Baby powder (talc) only works if the squeak is caused by the inner sole rubbing on the sole. It does not improve cohesion; but adds a bit of lubricity to eliminate the surface chatter.

Fingernail polish remover contains acetone. This solvent is a great stain remover, but also will erode the surface of many "rubber" materials used in footwear. Multiple uses will remove the chemicals that keep the material flexible.
