MSG means mono sodium glutamate. It's made from soy beans and is a neurotoxin. But it also makes foods taste better. So many manufacturers add it to their foods. Also, the FDA allows it to be added to mixtures of herbs and spices. As long as the MSG is less than 50% of the mix, it does NOT have to be listed as an ingredient. So many chefs use spice moistures that contain MSG but they don't realize this.

Many people seem to be able to eat foods containing MSG without showing obvious symptoms. But I am one who can't eat these foods. About an hour after eating, my body starts to ache all over. These aches and pains last for more than an hour and really make eating out not worth it. I can't eat in a Chinese restaurant, because, even tho they say the don't ADD MSG, they do have it in their spice mixtures.

Here's a list of the names under which the FDA allows it to be used.

The FDA does have a list of 92 serious symptoms caused by MSG. Some mimic certain diseases. If I find that link, I'll post it here.
That was easy! I found plenty of links. BTW, I use duckduckgo as my search engine, because it allows us to search without keeping track of what we do, like Google does.

This site says its made from seaweed or wheat gluten. I have not heard of soybeans. I avoid MSG too but do not avoid soybeans. I also avoid seafood, which includes seaweed and sea salt.
