Thanks to Eric (Beep Beep) for discovering that a minus border value works something like the invertborder attribute! It looks more like what the invertborder attribute does with cells, rather than with the border itself. (See Pages 2 and 3 for illustrations.) However, use of a minus value will snug up the inner tables, cancelling the specified border width. So if you want the full width to show, use the invertborder attribute. Also, to get a decent-looking border using the minus value, you must use the default value for cellspacing and cellpadding - or set a value for these higher than 0. | |||||||||
