Fractal by Ms Spiffy I happen to be one of those that love fractals. I want to show you what can be done with the webtv unit in regards to fractals. They will not be as complicated as ones that we can do on our computers, but there is still much that you can do with them. The important thing is that you do not have to be mathematical nor even understand the process. Below you will click to go to the site where you can generate a fractal.
I will show you what I did with the fractal and explain somewhat, but the important thing is to use your own imagination and use this as a stepping stone. If you want to create original artwork, this is one avenue that you might like to try.
I used the fractal that I generated (via webtv) and combined it with my own photograph of a mountain bird. Here are the two examples that I used. Mountain Bird Webtv generated fractal
After uploading the pictures to my own site, I then went to gifworks with the fractal. Here you can just play around with the various things. I decided that this was what I wanted to save. Round example of fractal
Now it is on to Image Magick to combine the two and do a composite. This is the final result of my two works combined. HERE
What sort of things can you do with your original? Anything you want ! That is the wonderful thing about creating your very own works. You can alter them and shape them - color - do whatever you want, and you have not infringed on anyone elses' copyrights. I did an audioscope with mine, but you could make a background - buttons - lines - frames.........I'm sure you will think of many more. Audioscope I wished that I had made the fractal smaller. I did the 400 x 400 and it is ok for computers, but too large for the webtv. I hope you won't have trouble seeing it as it is quite large. Here is the link for you to make your fractal. There are other pages that you can read on this site about fractals. I hope this article will entice you to try your hand at making fractals and your own original works. HERE When you have that gorgeous creation I hope that you will post it for others to see in the table art newsgroup. I'll be looking for them, and would love to see [an error occurred while processing this directive] |
