CIRCLE DRAW AT
IMAGE MAGICK

by Becky

These directions work for MSN TV users only. Computer users will need to find tutorials written for them.

For this tutorial, we are using Arbor IM.

  1. We will be using a 300x300 white blank.

Once you have uploaded your image and clicked on "View", click on the "Draw" tab, located at the top of the page.

  2. Click on the "Primitive" button and choose "Circle"

  3. First set of coordinates: tells you how far from the left edge and how far down from the top you want your circle's center.
Second set: is how far from the left and top you want the "Eclipse" ( circumference ) of the circle.

    +150+150 +60+60

  4. Delete the Fill Color

    Stroke Color.. black

    Stroke Width.. 4

    Click on Draw

When the screen has loaded, you have your circle.

  5. When you are finished, click on the "Output tab. In the "Format" box, select the type of output image. Select .gif or jpeg or leave as a .jpg. Click. Move cursor down to "Storage Type" and click on "single file." Click on "output."

  6. TL in the spaces provided or else click on the thumbnail image. This will then show you the full sized image. Use your "Go To" key and select "Show Current." Copy the URL that appears and paste it into your File Manager.

Here are two examples of what you can do with a circle.

For more info about Draw/Circles, please check out these other Circle tutes:

Note: since this is a tripod site, you'll have to scroll down at least 2 screens to get to the tute.

CIRCLE EXAMPLES
by Flo

Left: Change only the center settings.

Right: Use fill color, too. Leave settings for small circles the same; Transform/"flop" and Transform/"rotate left" to place each one.

Left: Make one central circle; use various composites and different offsets from center.

Right: 3 concentric circles. Can you find them? Draw 3 concentric circles of different colors. Then use Effects/"spread"

You can do lots with Draw/"circles" - let your imagination be your guide.
