DEFAULTS
How long has it been since we scopers have made use of the default (built-in) values of all the scope attributes? First off, what are attributes and values? We can say that anything before the equals sign is an attribute, while the numbers that follow the equals sign are the values for that attribute.

Now if we just wanted to put a default scope on a page, all we'd write is <audioscope> and MSNTV's browser will do the rest:





To stop music, hit "Options" and then "Stop"


Not very interesting. So we'll have to specify some of the attributes to get an interesting looking scope. Note also that the default offsets would be good for hiding the left channel. Width (300), height (20) and bgcolor (#ffeeee):





Let's add some offsets (left 3 & right -3). Now we can see the default left and right colors better:





As you can see, sometimes those default channel colors could look interesting, especially on white and pastel backgrounds.

Now let's change just the leftcolor (#9999ff) and let the right go default. All other attributes as above:

None of the above scope have a border. This is great if you want just the channel colors to show, but not the background of the scope. So make the bgcolor the same as the page or table bgcolor. Otherwise add the border attribute:
