TINY TABLE TIDBITS

What you see above is something different from what we MSN TV users get when we use the proprietary MSN TV attribute effect="shadow" with the font tag. The above effect is produced when we use an Inline CSS <style> </style> tag. "Inline" means that we can add this tag anywhere within the page where we want this shadowed effect.

This particular style attribute is called glow. It sets the font weight, size, color, shadow color, and finally the offsets for the shadow: horizontal, vertical and blur. In the textbox below is the style tag I used for the title above:

But why did I also included the good old font tag with the effect="shadow"? This is optional. Adding the font tag defines the shadowed area just a tad better than if you leave off the font tag. Below are some more examples:

BISQUE & SADDLEBROWN
9999FF & DARKSLATEGRAY
VIOLET & INDIGO
WHITE & FF7F50
8B6508 & FFEBCD

As you can see in the examples, you can use all color names, one name and one hex code, or all hex codes. You can also change the offset settings. Try smaller numbers. The blur, the third number, probably shows up for pc's. But even when I used a 15px setting, it didn't look any different on MSN TV.
