Page Layout

Sometimes a simple change in page layout can make all the difference. Many people are doing imaging these days using one of many Image Magicks sponsored by various servers. These servers provide a great service to the imaging community. It was only a few years ago that there was one Image Magick and so many people were using it that some folks would set their alarm to get up in the middle of the night to use it. Now we are fortunate to have many. In addition to this, many servers now provide their own Image Magick, thanks to Open-Source.

So, how do you present those images to get a large audience?
  • Keep the number of images small.
Time is limited for most people. More people will view fourteen images than will even glance at a page that has thirty.

  • Make sure they do not take an eternity to load.
People will not wait long. Even optimized images can take long time to load.

  • Present them in interesting ways.
Just tweaking a webpage slightly can make all the difference.

  • Here's a normal thumbnail page some use to present their imaging.
ImagesAs you can see just the regular rows and columns. Now here is one with just a little difference but can make a big difference to your viewer.

Images2 The center image being larger grabs their attention and they just might stick around and look at all of them...

CCP the code here....See what other layouts you can come up with.
