My first encounter with Scopes were "Hey Mom", "I'd like to put an Audioscope in my E-Mail. Could you find out how to do that?" ask my html challenged son. So there starts my five years plus addiction to Scopes.
I always describe my website as color, sound and movement. It seems that everyone has their own way of designing and coding, however, the three most important components are;
(1) Color: hot reds and yellows or cool
blues and greens or any combination you like. Using light and dark of the same color will create a different effect. Some colors work better than others you would have to experiment to fine which works best for you.
(2) Sound: sets the mood, upbeat or soft and low. Try different beats to move your scopes. I spend lots of time listening to different music. Sometimes the Creation will suggest a song as a flag will need your favorite patriotic music and a butterfly will need something light and air. Other times you will hear a song that inspires you to make a scope for it.
(3)Movement: by changing the gain, height and/or width of your scopes, gives each their own personality. Using a scale of multiples of height=10 or 20 you will get a Grandma Moses style scope. If you make your height=1,2,or3 you will get a more compact scope and some interesting waves in your scopes.
The combination of these three creates your work of art. Trying new ways of combining these components is what makes scoping addictive.
~A Very Basic Beginners Tut~
The goals of the scope artist is creating then fine tunning their creation and to always have lots of fun. I can't imagine getting board making Scopes. Then there is always something new to learn that will take you to the next level. Grad Tabling is my next level (still working on that!) and putting the two together, but that's a whole other topic.
Thanks to all the Tooters for all their time, help and inspiration for anyone who needs it.
Love to all
Carolyn
